This is a ceremony suited for either a burial or cremation. It can take place anywhere. For example the ceremony could take place in a beautiful chapel and the body could afterwards be taken away for cremation or burial. People have had ceremonies in their back garden or in the local community center.

A memorial service may be taking place a while after the funeral or cremation. In some cases families where the decision was made to have a direct cremation regret not having had a ceremony.  A memorial service is the perfect solution and can take place anywhere.

After a cremation the family will receive the ashes of their loved one and they would like to scatter their ashes in a particular place, perhaps a place close to their heart. This can be combined with a fitting ceremony.
